Kippah, Tallit, Tzitzot?

When you come to Beit Lechem, you may find those who are wearing a kippah/yarmulke, tallit, and tzitzots. The official stand of Beit Lechem is as follows:

    • Kippah – You are welcome to wear the kippah if you choose, but it is not required. There are no commands in the Torah requiring the kippah.
    • Tallit – You are welcome to wear the tallit, and we provide some on a rack at the entrance. If you choose to borrow one, please return it after the service.

    • Tzitzots – God commands Israel to wear tassles on the four corners of their garments.

  • Women’s Head Coverings – While we do not require this, there are scarves available on the rack with the Tallits for your use. Please return them after the service.
